see now, here i go ramping myself up again... but the short and long of it is, no one is going to get himself elected if he's that different from, well, everybody else. people's moods swing left and right, as does the presidency, but never that far, or for that long. we never will have someone "remarkably progressive" or "nearly fascist" or any of those things, because you just can't elect someone like that, from what i've seen.
