I told you so

Just because my L is gone doesn't mean I'm going to stop agitiating. I just read this article and I'll tell ya what, even if you are the most hard-core Bush supporter around, you have to admit, the Iraq war was wrong at worst and disastrously wasteful at best.

I'll specifically call out render on this one. I remember us having arguments about the validity of this war. The best defense of it was that it was good for the Iraqi people. I think this point is indisputable. However, I don't pay taxes to make the life of Iraqi's better. If you don't want to blame the worst jobs loss since WWII and the worst deficit since 1776 on the tax cuts, then you have to blame it on the war. This was a war we couldn't afford and it did nothing good for America. The Iraq war was American poison. The threat wasn't there, sanctions and containment were working (like they have for Cuba and are for N. Korea), the war was needless.

You people thought Janet Jackson was more worthy of comment than this??? Or is that its so evident as not be arguable any longer? If that's so, will you all sign a petition to impeach Bush?

while i believe that bush is the worst president i've seen in my lifetime, his offenses aren't impeachable. The best thing we can do is to vote him out of office in November.

i'm with ralph on this one... and soros... i'm voting "not bush" this fall

"even if you are the most hard-core Bush supporter around, you have to admit, the Iraq war was wrong at worst and disastrously wasteful at best." -- I think this is false. I don't agree with the war at all but there are few things in this world that you can claim "you have to admit".

Oh, and by the way, I don't think you can really compare anything to the Janet Jackson thread because that was the most commented on post ever on EA.

yeah, I've got to calm down on the yabbse too (wtf is yabbse?)

Still waiting for render to bite on this thread... oh well.
